I was checking on the radiation levels coming from Spetty today and was unhappy to find them higher than normal and just barely below critical levels. I asked Joe to check the security login to see if anyone had started a run, but no one had. I then quickly reviewed the tapes of the control pod myself and found no one had been in there since Dr. Irral's run nine days ago. So either a software bug has been starting runs or Spetty is becoming unstable again.

I have reported this to Dr. Edric, but I haven't received any communication back from him. He probably isn't worried, as always. He isn't the one who has to spend most of his days inside The Heart thinking of all the weird ways Spetty could kill him. My crew is all pretty anxious over this, with the first wet run coming up, and I don't blame them.  If we can't stop these instabilities from occurring, even though they are occurring less and less, I don't think we should go through with the main run.  Unfortunately, it isn't up to me.
